RVing With Cats? Humans, We’re Unpredictable, Deal With It

If you’re rving with cats, then you are probably rvers who whine about the unpredictability of your rv cat. Given I’m a traveling feline, let me set you humans straight about something…the ONLY box you will put kitties in is the litterbox. We aren’t made via cookie cutters, we don’t have cliques (like the human soccer mom phenomenon, sheesh!) and, frankly, we don’t care what you think about us! So let me take you on a tour of recent events in our 5th wheel these past few months. All I hear is constant complaining about where I choose to sleep. … Continue reading

If You Are RVing With Cats, Give A Cat Some PRIVACY Please!

Ok all of you rving with cats, here’s a little tip – can you be quiet for, oh, FIVE MINUTES PLEASE? This rv cat gets tired of moving from here to there, trying to escape you humans and your endless yapping, cabinets banging and…my favorite…JUST HOW MANY TIMES DO YOU NEED TO OPEN AND CLOSE THE CAMPER DOOR? Sheesh. It is no secret that the unique cats in an rv require lots of rest in this hectic lifestyle. Furniture in RVs, the typical hiding spots for felines, are bolted to the ground so there are few places to get away … Continue reading

The RVing Cat Gets His Groove Back After A 2000 Mile Journey

Hey there cats everywhere – I’m happy to say that this rv cat made it (barely) 2,000 miles riding in the back seat of a pickup truck with the rv dog. Whew! I’m glad that trip is over. Dogs are crazy, especially ours, and while I tried to nap each day in the backseat, she never sat still and stepped on me continually. Plus she slobbers, licks, barks – making napping nearly impossible. But we made it to our campsite for the summer, in the woods, and I’m glad to tell you rv cats that I’m getting my groove back. … Continue reading

This RV Cat’s Woes: Where’s The Fancy Feast Chicken Classic?

This rv cat has had it – almost ran out of my Fancy Feast Chicken Classic canned food for cats. It’s inexcusable, I tell you! We’ve traveled nearly 1500 miles already, from Illinois heading home to Glacier National Park, Montana – and do you think my OWNERS food cabinets are empty? Noooooo – of course not! I ask for little in this rving cat life. Don’t believe me? Here’s my list: Put the rving dog outside once in awhile so I can get a break from her annoying personality. Move off the bed, couch or dinette booth when I feel … Continue reading

Hey All You RVing Cats, Demand Your Place At The RV Table

Today’s tip is to teach you rving cats how to demand your place at the rv table. I’m a cat who knows all of the best camper tricks out there – ones to get you your deserved authority in the motorhome or trailer while your owners, too weak and outsmarted to fight you, give in to your every whim. One of the best examples I have of this is when it comes to fine dining in the rv dinette. Now here is what you need to do to make this work perfectly (my rv cat tricks of the trade): Get … Continue reading

Humans, Here Are My Top 10 Tips On How To Travel With A Cat

Well my feline friends and human burdens, Spot the rv cat is here to tell you how to travel with cats based on my drama a few days ago. You see, my owners recently sold our motorhome (keep in mind we are full time rvers so this was our HOME) to swap for a 5th wheel and pickup truck. That in and of itself was quite dramatic to this feline who prefers peace, quiet and consistency. But a few days ago they neglected to inform me it was time to say goodbye to family and travel 150 miles south to … Continue reading

What Happens To RV Cats When Fulltimers Buy New RVs? Read This!

Greetings to rving cats (and any other cat for that matter) everywhere. It is Spot the rv cat here to fill you in on my life at the present moment. You know, I find my owners entertaining most days…sometimes annoying…but what I’ve gone through this week really takes the catnip. While visiting in Illinois, they got the swell idea to sell the motorhome in exchange for a truck and 5th wheel camper. If you couldn’t guess, it is a nightmare. Here is what I am enduring, in no particular order: They didn’t tell me they were doing this. One day, … Continue reading

The Crazy RV Cat Owners Think They’ve Taught Me To Speak

Sometimes I wonder how humans came to rule the earth. They are barely able to survive without all kinds of mechanical and technological crutches. They are unable to see, hear, smell or taste as well as the ordinary house canine, besides being completely helpless in the dark, unlike most animals. And they are amazingly stupid when it comes to interacting with us much smarter and more capable shining examples of the best the mammal kingdom has to offer – of course I’m talking about cats, notably yours truly. Take my Grandma – please! No, I’m just kidding about that because … Continue reading

Humans And Their Funny Cat Bumper Stickers

So what is this whole bumper sticker thing about, anyway? Does every cat loving human want every other human to know about his or her addiction to us felines? I understand that being associated with a cat like me is something to be very proud of, but a bit of discretion is called for when it comes to these matters. After all, I don’t go around telling all the other cats I know that I am the owner of a couple of humans, and saying cute things about them. Really, there’s not much about them I would call cute, or … Continue reading

Westminster Best In Show Winners Should Be CATS, Says My Cat

Oh humans, this feline is sooo grateful that the Westminster Best In Show hysteria has come to an end in 2013. I am a cat who cannot stop laughing at the event, for so many reasons. Would you like to hear just some of them? Here you go: Dogs are dumb. I live with one and, well, she just ain’t that bright. I can see why it is best in “show” because basically these dog owners spend a fortune making them look poofy and sleek, then run them around in circles, then “winner!” Oh wow, impressive. These dogs honestly don’t … Continue reading
